True Disney Magic Returns to Hollywood Studios
After several years, the magic will finally return to Walt Disney World. This is Disney magic at its best!
Hollywood Studios Changes

In the wise words of Walt Disney, the Disney Parks will continue to be reimagined as long as there is imagination left in the world. However, the current state of Disney's Hollywood Studios does not match the initial concept for this 3rd Theme Park at Walt Disney World.
With the removal of The Great Movie Ride, The Studio Backlot Tour, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure, to name a few classics, the original idea of MGM Studios serving as a window into "Old Hollywood" has changed.
Thankfully, much of this nostalgia returned to Disney's Hollywood Studios this week.
Magic of Disney Animation

Disney's Hollywood Studios is set to reopen a new land, "Magic of Disney Animation", in phases starting May 26, 2026.
When this new area opened this week, we were delighted to see so many roaming characters. The true magic is that these are not traditional meet-and-greets where Guests wait in long lines to take a photo and receive an autograph.
Disney characters truly interact with Guests. For example, Rapunzel was spotted braiding a Guest's hair the other day. Our very own Kenny the Pirate spotted Donald Duck entertaining Guests in a round of "Duck, Duck, Goose".
Off the Page Characters

While we love these roaming character interactions, these may be for only a limited time. Later this summer, "Magic of Disney Animation" will open the "Off the Page" character interactions.
"Off the Page" character meet-and-greets open later this summer.
When this opens, we assume that the current roaming characters at Disney Animation will eventually greet Guests indoors when "Off the Page" officially opens. Take advantage of this rare Disney magic while these characters are here for a limited time.
What do you think of this extra magic for children this summer at Walt Disney World? Do you think that Disney should bring more of this Disney magic throughout the parks? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Donna loved Disney from an early age. As a child, her family would joke that she lived in "Donna Land." As an adult, she enjoys planning and creating magical vacations for her family. She always brings a little faith, trust, and a little bit of Pixie Dust!

Bob Iger ruined Hollywood Studios by removing The Great Movie Ride, Drew Carry's Sound Stage, the Backlot Tour and the city facade buildings, and the Osborn Christmas Lights, and the Muppets 3D and the courtyard. The Monster's Inc attraction could have been placed in other areas of this park. Disney could actually expand WDW for the new attractions. When shopping for land in Central Florida, Walt and Roy made it a priority to buy extra land to avoid being landlocked like in Anaheim.
