Earth Day at Disney World
One of the best ways to celebrate Earth Day is right at Walt Disney World! There is no better way to get up close and personal with wildlife and appreciate all of the nature surrounding you than at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
In the past, during Earth Week, Disney World has offered some amazing ways to commemorate the celebration. These included rare characters, delicious treats, fun Magic Shots, and more!
Rare Characters
Here at Kenny the Pirate, we love meeting rare characters. Earth Day at Animal Kingdom was a great opportunity to meet and interact with characters that do not regularly meet in the parks.

Last year, Disney shortened the line up by only offering one rare meet and greet. This offering was shortened even more as it wasn't offered the entire week. You can read more about that HERE.
No Rare Characters!
Today, Guests are reporting that there are no rare character meet and greets for Earth Day. This is definitely disappointing for Guests. Some visit Animal Kingdom in hopes of meeting some of these hard to find characters.
