Refurbishments are a part of life at Disney Parks. These may take place for various reasons. Whether it be for mechanical issues or cosmetic updates, a refurbishment can take place for many reasons.

Based on the nature of the work, the refurbishment may take a few days or several months. Although refurbishments occur throughout the year, Walt Disney World tends to begin many refurbishments in the slower months of January and February.

When possible, Disney will try to complete work while the attraction remains operational, but many times the attraction must close for work to take place.

France Pavilion Closure

Located in the France Pavilion, Impressions de France temporarily closed on February 22, 2026.

This affected both Impressions de France and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, which are both offered in the same theater.

When we first announced this closure, Disney did not share a reopening timeline for this closure. They simply shared that this will be for a "routine refurbishment".

Impressions de France Reopening

Today, the Walt Disney World website shared that Impressions de France and the Beauty and the Beast sing-along are expected to reopen on May 10, 2026.

This reopening timeline is great for families visiting EPCOT this summer. This theater shares the culture of France while also providing a much-needed break from the heat. Unlike several of the other World Showcase locations, Impressions de France provides seating for Guests.
