The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster News We Have Been Waiting For
Are you ready to rock with The Muppets? Walt Disney World is preparing for a big announcement.
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Closed
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith officially closed.
The attraction building remains on the My Disney Experience app, but the iconic guitar and stretch limo at the entrance have been removed. The physical park map shows the change, "Future Home of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring The Muppets."

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
While much work is taking place inside the attraction, Disney's Hollywood Studios Guests have noticed a new paint job to the iconic limo. It also appears that work will begin soon to reimagined the electric guitar outside this attraction.
Walt Disney World has several attractions set to open. Most recently, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin reopened. Disney has also provided reopening timelines for Bluey's Wild World, Soarin' Around America, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
There are rumors among Disney Imagineers and Cast Members that Disney has a projected reopening timeline of Memorial Day for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring The Muppets.
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Big Announcement
While this is not confirmed by Disney, this seems plausible. Today, Walt Disney World teased that a BIG announcement may be coming soon for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring The Muppets.
The reopening date will be announced on April 16, 2026, for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring the Muppets.
Disney shares this image of Kermit on a musician's box. There are also potential Easter eggs shared in this teaser image, including green roots, stage lighting, the initials LK on a guitar pick, and an icon "Original Idol."
Disney later shared footage of Animal with the full track list for the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster attraction. Unfortunately, Animal can't read, but we will have a full list of songs for this attraction on April 16, 2026.
