Lightning Lane Multi-Pass

In 2024, Disney Parks made a change from the previous Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane system that allowed guests to skip the line for a fee. The new Lightning Lane Multi Pass is very similar to the previous Disney Genie+, with a few exceptions.
Lightning Lanes can be purchased as a Multi-Pass or an Individual Lightning Lane. There is also a Premier Pass, which eliminates the need for ride reservations, but it comes at a premium price.

Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Change

With so many big attractions closing all throughout Walt Disney World, many have questioned if it is worth purchasing the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass and Single Pass for the limited number of attractions.
This week, Walt Disney World announced that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom will reopen on May 3, 2026.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has now been added once again as a Tier 1 attraction at Magic Kingdom beginning May 3, 2026.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Soft Opening

Recently, Walt Disney World has offered several soft openings for new and reimagined attractions such as EPCOT's Frozen Ever After and Magic Kingdom's Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad returns as a Tier 1 Lightning Lane attraction beginning May 3, 2026.
