New Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin Reopening Details

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
Located in the heart of Tomorrowland, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin gives you the chance to defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg. The attraction is currently closed for a major refurbishment!
Big changes are coming to this attraction. There will be a new show scene that will introduce characters to a new character, "Buddy."
This new character created by Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios will help to play a key role on the star command team.
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Changes
Along with the addition of a new character, the ride vehicles will receive a huge overhaul with video monitors and handheld blasters.
These new vehicles will feature hand held blasters and video monitors with real-time scoring (unlimited high scores!).
Disney Imagineers have added magic to the tunnel that Guests pass through. Zurg will now clearly be seen releasing space mines that you can fire at and earn more points. The best part, Buzz Lightyear will join you in this battle.
Buzz Lightyear Reopening Update
Today, Disney updated the description of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin on the official website. The new description states, "Incoming Transmission- Enhancements Acquired".
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin reopens "Spring 2026".
"Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is almost back and will be power-packed with more fun at Magic Kingdom park! Star Command's top minds have added a series of enhancements, including handheld blasters for more freedom of movement, additional interactive targets, scores that go lightyears beyond what you can imagine, and Buddy, our newest crew member!"
"Don't miss your chance to team up with Buzz and save the galaxy on a supercharged adventure with fun that goes to infinity and beyond."
The only thing missing from this new update is an exact reopening date. We can't wait to share that news with you soon.
