Unexpected Surprise Aboard Toy Story Mania

Toy Story Mania
Toy Story Mania is a fast-paced, spinning trip around Andy's room, complete with Toy Story friends Hamm, Rex, Trixie, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, and more.
This fun attraction, named both Toy Story Mania and Toy Story Midway Mania, is featured at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios, at Tokyo DisneySea, and Disneyland California Adventure.
No matter the park, this attraction continues to garner high wait times. Guests can't wait to beat their high score time and time again.
Toy Story Mania Surprise
On a recent trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios, I (Donna) was excited to see that two different 3D glasses were in use for this attraction.
Typically, Toy Story Mania uses the classic yellow 3D glasses. These are offered to Guests during the queue before boarding the attraction.
In addition to the yellow 3D glasses, there were also purple 3D glasses. If you are a Muppet fan, you would quickly recognize these from Muppet Vision 3D.
Muppets at Hollywood Studios
This is not the first time that we have seen remnants of Muppet Vision 3D at Disney's Hollywood Studios. During Christmas, we spied carpet from Muppet Vision 3D near the entrance of Disney's Hollywood Studios at Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind Tinseltown Photos.
Muppet 3D glasses are in use at Toy Story Mania.
When Disney originally shared that the Muppet Courtyard would close to make room for a Monsters Inc.-themed land, this news was somewhat bittersweet. However, these fun nods to Muppet Vision 3D are the kind of Disney magic that we love.
Just as a reminder, Rock 'n Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith will close on March 1, 2026. To make way for a Muppet retheme of this exhilarating attraction.
