Your Guide to Pin Drop Tuesday at Disney World
So you want to attempt Pin Drop Tuesday? Here is everything you need to know for your best shot at scoring Limited Edition pins at Walt Disney World!
What is Pintastic Tuesday

Pintastic Tuesday is a phenomenon that began not too long ago at Disney Parks and Disney Store (both retail locations and online) in the pin trading world. It is a day when collectors can attempt to acquire limited edition Disney Pins!
Sometimes Disney announces which pins will be dropping on specific Tuesdays throughout the year by releasing flyers with illustrations and dates, and other details. Other times, the pin drops are a bit of a surprise! Likewise, some of the pins are online exclusives, and some are only released in either Walt Disney World or Disneyland.
I cannot emphasize this enough. If you want to set up your best chance for scoring Pin Drop Tuesday Limited Edition pins at Walt Disney World, you must have a strategy, and you MUST be prepared to wait.
But don't worry, fellow pin traders! We have got you covered. Here is your Guide to Pintastic Tuesday for WDW!
Where to Go for Pin Tuesday

Your strategy starts here! Before you plan where to go to try to score special Limited Edition pins, you need to consider two factors:
1. Do you have a ticket or an annual pass to get into a park for the day that you want to buy pins?
2. Do you have Early Entry to the parks if you stay at a Walt Disney World hotel and other select properties?
You will need to plan your strategy based on your answer to these two questions. Remember, the process may shift at a park on any given day, but this is the truth as we currently know it in 2026!
If You Have Park Admission

We'll start by breaking down the strategy for ticket holders. But don't worry, if you don't have a ticket, you can still get pins!
If you are using an Annual Pass, make 100% sure that you are not blocked out on the day you wish to attempt a pin drop (although if you are an Incredipass Holder, you may have better luck on days when everyone ELSE is blocked). Also, make sure you have a Park Reservation if it is not a Good-to-Go Day.
If you have a regular date-based ticket, you will not need a Park Reservation. However, if you don't know whether your ticket type requires a reservation, make sure you find out BEFORE you attempt a Pin Drop. You will not want to spend precious time hassling with it at the finger scanners.

The next thing to do is plan which park to go to based on whether you qualify for Early Entry. Certain parks hold a bit of an advantage for those who have Early Entry and a disadvantage for those who do not.
Regardless, you should know that you will ultimately be doing 4 stages of waiting to get pins at the parks. 1) You will wait for Disney transportation, or you will wait for the parking lot to open if you drive (get there early to be at the front of the transportation line or parking). 2) You will wait for the security line to open. 3) You will wait for rope drop. 4) You will wait for the shop to open.
Pin Drop Strategy If You Have Early Entry

If you have Early Entry, EPCOT and Animal Kingdom are your best bet for scoring Limited Edition Pins on Pin Tuesday! Why? At Epcot and Animal Kingdom, only Early Entry Guests are permitted to line up at the pin shops early.
All other Guests are held until the official park opening time. This means you have a 30-minute advantage over guests without Early Entry and are more likely to get a good place in line for pins.
Head to Animal Kingdom or Epcot for pin drops if you have Early Entry

Again, you will ABSOLUTELY want to Rope Drop your park at early entry. In fact, you will want to be among the first Guests to head through security so you can get a good position as you line up at the touch points to enter the park! In other words, you will need to be up EARLY.
If you are a bit of an early bird, opt for Animal Kingdom. If you want an extra hour of rest before you have to line up for transportation, head to EPCOT. Either way, once you are inside your chosen park, knowing where to go is critical.
Where to Go in EPCOT

If you go to EPCOT, once you clear security, scan in, and pass the Early Entry checkpoint, you will need to head all the way to the pin store at the front of World Showcase.
Watch for the Cast Members who will typically lead the pin trader pack. Do NOT under any circumstances attempt to pass a CM. If for some reason there are no CMs, follow the people heading to World Showcase.
As you get to the store, there will be a merging of people coming from the main entrance and International Gateway to form a line. The line will most likely start moving at the official park opening time.
It is VERY important that you keep your party together as you get into this line. Sending someone ahead and joining them later can result in you being moved to the end of the line.
Where to Go In Animal Kingdom

If you are going to Animal Kingdom, you will have to wake up earlier. However, you will be in for a bit less of a hike from the park entrance to the pin shop.
Once you pass through security, scan in, and pass the early-entry check point, you will need to go to Discovery Island Trading Co. To get there, as you approach the Tree of Life, turn as if you are going to Asia.
Go all the way around to the side of the building; do NOT stop at the doors at the front of the shop. You will see the line forming and CMs keeping the line in order. This line will typically start moving at the official park opening time! Just before then, you will see a second wave of people join the line. These are the people who do not have Early Entry.
Pin Drop If You Do Not Have Early Entry

If you do NOT have Early Entry, you will probably want to avoid EPCOT and Animal Kingdom because you will find yourself in line behind everyone who does have Early Entry. It will put you at a disadvantage and lessen your chances of getting pins.
Instead, head to either Disney's Hollywood Studios or The Magic Kingdom. Here, all guests can begin entering and lining up at the shops regardless of whether they have Early Entry.
You will still absolutely need to rope drop as if you DO have Early Entry. Again, you will want to be among the first people in line to go through security and scan into the park. These parks tend to start moving Guests through the touch points before Early Entry ever begins.
Where to Go at Magic Kingdom

If you go to The Magic Kingdom, once you are scanned into the park, you will need to head to Frontierland. The line will form at Frontier Trading Post.
It is going to be a bit of a journey from the front of the park. You will first line up at the Entry Point to Liberty Square.
Once the rope drops, typically, a CM or even a group of CMs will lead the way to the store in Frontierland. Do not pass the CM.
Where to go in Hollywood Studios

If you go to Hollywood Studios, you will have a shorter walk. Once you scan in and head into the park, the line will form at the Dark Room.
Because it is so close to the entrance, the formation of the line can feel a bit chaotic because time has not given people much of a chance to spread out as they head there. You will have to walk past anyone who has already swooped in for spots in line as it stretches back toward the Starbucks.
Again, it is a good idea to keep your party together. You might get accused of line jumping if CMs catch you trying to join someone else in line.
If You do Not Have Park Admission

If you do not have theme park admission or if the date falls on blackout dates for your Annual Pass, your only real option is Disney Springs. You will want to get to Disney Springs as early as you can!
You will do a couple of stages of waiting at Disney Springs. 1) You will wait for entry to the parking Garage if you drive. 2) You will wait for security to open. 3) You will wait for the shop to open.
Guests will be entering Disney Springs from both the parking garages and the ride-share drop-off. The ride share drop is a bit closer to where you are heading. Typically, a CM will walk Guess from the Parking Garage.

Once you are granted entry, the lines of people heading from either direction will feed into a wristband station at Pin Traders in Marketplace. You will receive a wristband with your assigned number.
You can grab your spot in line based on your wristband once it is time to shop. But the line won't move until the shop opens.
Important Reminders

It can be very tempting to break Disney's rules while you are getting your place in line. Many others may be tempted to break rules. And you will doubtless see a little lawlessness.
However, it is important to follow safety protocols and follow the directions of Cast Members. The hobby is fun, but it is not worth hurting yourself or someone else.
Walk with purpose, but do not run. Get a spot in line, but do not line jump. You might see some people get away with both; however, know that breaking either rule can result in promptly being escorted to the back of the line.
Is It Worth It?

Maybe! That depends on your perspective and how badly you want to add a specific pin to your collection. It also depends on your ability to manage waits, frustration, and disappointment if things do not go your way!
It could be that you go to all the effort and come up short. But you could also end up having a pleasant time meeting cool fellow pin traders in line and adding desirable pins to your collection!
If you want to try a somewhat less intimidating drop, and you have options, go when the hottest pins are NOT scheduled to or expected to drop. For 2026, the first Tuesday of each month is going to be a HUGE draw.
Either way, you are enjoying time in Disney. Happy pin trading!
