Magic Kingdom Attraction Trials New Single Rider Line
One popular Magic Kingdom attraction recently trialed a new Single Rider Line. Find out what we know.
Single Rider Line

Single rider lines are separate lines in select attractions for those traveling solo or those who don't mind riding the attraction without the rest of their party. Basically, single riders get placed wherever there is a seat available.
Typically, the line is much shorter than the regular standby queue, which means less time waiting in line!
Attractions at Disney World that use Single Rider access include Expedition Everest, Test Track (under refurbishment), Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. Occasionally, Soarin' and Rise of the Resistance offer a Single Rider Line as well.
Single Rider Testing

Earlier this week, it was reported that a Single Rider Line was being tested at Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom. There was no signage for the Single Rider Line and this testing only took place for about two hours.
Cast Members outside the attraction were notifying Guests that a Single Rider Line was available.
During the testing, single riders would enter the Lightning Lane and follow Cast Members instructions.
How This Is Different

Space Mountain has had signage in the queue for Guests to notify Cast Members if they are single riders. Please note, that this signage is NOT NEW! However, this testing is different, as the single rider joins the Lightning Lane and not the traditional stand-by queue.
Single Rider Line testing was being done at Space Mountain utilizing the Lightning Lane.
At the second tap point, single riders will inform Cast Members that they are single riders, and will then fill available spaces. Groups entering the Single Rider Line will be separated. Cast Member will know if you entered the Lightning Lane as a single rider or with a Lightning Lane as Guests with Lightning Lanes will tap at the tap point.
There have been no other reports if additional testing has been performed, or if the testing was successful. We will be sure to keep you informed if this new Single Rider Line makes a return!
What do you think of this Single Rider Line testing at Space Mountain? Do you think this is a good option? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to share this post with your friends!

As a single rider, most of the time, this would be great as I rarely find a CM to ever be able to let them know that I am a single rider.
Same! I tend to be a single rider often as well, and would love this change
