One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other Theme Parks is the amazing entertainment. Every night, guests at Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT can enjoy amazing shows as the sun sets.
The nighttime show Fantasmic! is a story where Mickey is transported into a dream. He dances along with music, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics. Various characters and scenes from popular Disney movies are part of the sequence as well.
Since it first debuted in 1998 at what was then MGM Studios, it has seen many changes throughout the years. The most recent big change was in 2022 when it finally reopened with new scenes.
Fantasmic! Tips
Fantasmic! is located in a large amphitheater, but quickly fills up and on occasion reaches capacity. This can be quite disappointing to guests.
On dates when higher crowds are expected, Disney may add additional Fantasmic! showtimes. For example, Fantasmic! offered 3 showtimes on select nights the week after Christmas.
Currently, Fantasmic! is offered once nightly at 9:30 pm (showtimes subject to change).
Unexpected Fantasmic! Change
Looking ahead for the next several weeks, the showtime remains at 9:30 pm. However, we see an interesting shift in the first full week in March.
Fantasmic! is offered at 8:30 pm nightly starting March 8, 2026.
Starting Sunday, March 8, 2026, Fantasmic! is offered at 8:30 pm instead of at 9:30 pm. It will be interesting to see if additional showtimes may be added this week and the following weeks. This may be the signal of Spring Break crowds heading towards Walt Disney World.
Due to this earlier showtime, you may want to rearrange your touring plans.

I saw this - I also am perplexed why so many dates were "x'd" out of the Fantasmic Dining Package availability for March. would love to know if you have insight to this.
