In the wise words of Walt Disney, the Disney Parks will continue to be reimagined as long as there is imagination left in the world. However, the current state of Disney's Hollywood Studios does not match the initial concept for this 3rd Theme Park at Walt Disney World.

With the removal of The Great Movie Ride, The Studio Backlot Tour, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure, to name a few classics, the original idea of MGM Studios serving as a window into "Old Hollywood" has changed.

Disney announced that the entire Muppets Courtyard would close, but the Muppets will relocate with a retheme of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

Construction walls have surrounded Muppet Courtyard for several months. At the end of July, the Stage 1 Company Store was demolished.

Since that time, we have noticed more changes with the removal of the Muppet Vision 3D marquee sign.

Today, one of the biggest icons for the Muppet Courtyard, the large neon PizzeRizzo sign, is now removed from the Muppet Courtyard.

The demolition of Muppet Courtyard makes way for Monsters, Inc.-themed area known as "Monstropolis".

Earlier this month, we saw an aerial view of the work taking place, and it is massive. This will be the home of the thrill roller coaster inspired by the swinging door scene from the Monsters Inc. film.

Although we love the new things coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios, it is still sad to say goodbye to Muppet Courtyard.
