Animal Kingdom Attraction Gets Reopening Date
Some Disney World attractions close each year for a refurbishment. Find out when this attraction will reopen!

Kali River Rapids closure each year for refurbishment where routine maintenance is completed. Disney shared that this closure will now take place sooner than in years past.
This year, Kali River Rapids closed for refurbishment on October 6th. No exact reopening date was announced, just December 2025.
Typically, Kali River Rapids closes in January for its annual refurbishment. However, Disney moved up the scheduled to ensure the work was completed prior to DinoLand closing in February.

Disney has shared when Kali River Rapids will reopen from its annual refurbishment. Kali River Rapids will reopen on December 12, 2025!

Be aware that Kali River Rapids does not open when the park opens. Be sure to check the attraction's operating times prior to arriving at the attraction.
What Does This Mean to You?
This is great news for those visiting Animal Kingdom as DinoLand is about to become extinct. An entirely new land is on the way. It is set to be themed around Tropical Americas! We can't wait to see Welcome to Pueblo Esperanza!
Dinoland will officially close on February 2, 2026.
DINOSAUR at Disney's Animal Kingdom will have its last day of operation on February 1, 2026. Beginning February 2, 2026, the last parts of DinoLand USA will officially close, including the DINOSAUR attraction and Restaurantosaurs dining location.
