Kali River Rapids Annual Refurb

Kali River Rapids closure each year for refurbishment where routine maintenance is completed. Today, Disney has shared that this closure will now take place sooner than in years past.
Kali River Rapids will close for refurbishment on October 6th. The attraction is set to reopen in December.
Typically, Kali River Rapids closes in January for its annual refurbishment. However, Disney has moved up the scheduled to ensure it the work is complete prior to DinoLand closing in February.
What Does This Mean For You?

Big changes are coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom with the closure of DinoLand, which includes the closure of attractions, dining locations, and changes to meet and greets. You can read all the details on these changes and how it will impact your visit HERE.
Kali River Rapids will close early for its yearly refurbishment, ensuring that the attraction will be open to Guests prior to DinoLand closing in February.
It is disappointing that Guests visiting later this fall won't be able to enjoy Kali River Rapids. However, moving this refurbishment into October to have it completed by December was a wise choice. Animal Kingdom already has a limited amount of attractions compared to other parks, so limiting the amount of closures at one time will greatly improve Guests' experience.
