New Project Planned for Magic Kingdom's Adventureland

Walt Disney World has so many BIG projects planned, and now Adventureland will be added to the growing list of refurbishments and expansions. Find out full details and see how this may affect your next trip to Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney World Closures

As Walt Disney once said, "We keep moving forward," and that is very true at Walt Disney World. The Walt Disney Company shared BIG plans for Walt Disney World over the next 10 years.

These plans greatly affect Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Epcot was in a state of transformation that began in 2019 and continued until CommuniCore Hall was completed in 2024.

While the EPCOT transformation was pared down quite a bit, the majority of work is now complete in this park for the time being.

Adventureland Project

Disney recently filed a permit for work at 4046738-4878C Caribbean Way. This is the address for Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.

The contractor listed is PCL Construction Services for "General Construction". Disney has not announced a refurbishment for this attraction.

We hope that this will be a simple refurbishment and not a major change. At this time, Disney has not announced a closure for Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.

Disney World "Refurbishment Month"

Although the Disney Parks stay busy throughout the calendar year, there are slower times for the parks. With the growing list of refurbishments, it appears that January may be "Refurbishment Month" for the Disney Parks.
