There is nothing quite like a day at the Magic Kingdom. It is truly the "Most Magical Place on Earth" for good reason. One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other theme parks is the great entertainment options that delight guests throughout the day.

From multiple stage shows, awe-inspiring fireworks, cavalcades, and, of course, the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Guests have so much to enjoy apart from the thrilling attractions.

Currently, guests can enjoy the Festival of Fantasy Parade at 2:00 pm and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade at 11:05 am. Be sure to follow along with Character Locator for updated showtimes, as these can change.

Festival of Fantasy Fail

The Festival of Fantasy Parade features so many great characters and elaborate floats. At its best, it is pure Disney magic, but all too often the unexpected can happen.

One rather common mishap for the Festival of Fantasy parade involves the large hot air balloon float that closes the parade with Mickey and Minnie Mouse aboard. The hot air balloon float causes operational problems at times.

Many times in the past, the hot air balloon would be missing while Mickey and Minnie Mouse joined another float. Today, November 11, 2025, the hot air balloon deflated in Frontierland and reinflated to the applause of guests. This was short-lived and caused complications on Main Street.

In true Disney fashion, "The Show Must Go On," even with unexpected breakdowns. The grand finale of the parade moved a bit slower.

Guests reported that Mickey and Minnie's hot air balloon had to be towed, creating a bit of congestion in the parade route.
