Surprising Warning Issued for Disney World Guests

There are many things to consider when planning your trip to Walt Disney World. From rainstorms to hurricane planning, Florida weather can put a few wrinkles even in the best-laid travel plans.
With a park located in Central Florida, Walt Disney World tries to update guests on weather advisories as quickly as possible.
Florida has been hit pretty hard this year with record low temperatures in January, a fog advisory, record high temperatures this summer, and even major disruptions at the Orlando International Airport due to the new FAA order.

One of the most important things to remember when planning your Walt Disney World trip is ensuring every member of your traveling party is happy and healthy. There is nothing worse than not being prepared and being miserable due to weather complications.
Central Florida is often affected by heat advisories, but now a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for both Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Weather Advisory beginning at 2:00 am until 9:00 am on November 11, 2025. Wind chills could be as low as 25° with actual temperatures in the upper 30s. Due to strong northwest winds, it will feel even cooler.
Be Prepared

Guests should plan accordingly when attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tonight, November 10, 2025, as the temperatures will continue to drop during party hours. The weather service recommends, "Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves."
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Weather Advisory beginning at 2:00 am until 9:00 am on November 11, 2025.
Currently, Typhoon Lagoon has operating hours for Tuesday, November 11, 2025, opening at 10:00 am. Just as a reminder, Universal's Volcano Bay will be closed several days this week. See more about this closure HERE.
Update: Walt Disney World just closed Typhoon Lagoon on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The water park is set to reopen on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
