When Will YouTube TV Subscribers Get their Credit for Missing Chanels
Disney-owned channels went dark on YouTube TV more than a week ago, leaving subscribers without content they paid for. Now they are all wondering when the madness will end.
YouTube TV and Disney Dispute

It has been a disappointing week for YouTube TV subscribers. Last weekend, millions found that their Disney-owned channels had gone dark!
This includes access to content on channels like ESPN, Nat Geo, FX, and ABC. Subscribers have had to find alternate ways to watch live sporting events and beloved programming.
All of this stems from the failure of Disney and Google-owned YouTube TV to reach a carriage agreement for rates for Disney-owned content. You can read all about the dispute HERE.
When Will Subscribers Get Their Credit

Ultimately, YouTube TV subscribers probably care very little about the rationale each company has behind the dispute. They most likely only want compensation for lost services and restoration of the channels that are supposed to be included in their subscriptions.
YouTube TV stated that it would begin issuing customers $20 credits if access to the Disney-owned channels was not restored for an extended period of time. And now, it looks like the time has come.
Andrew Marchand from The Athletic reported that if no agreement is reached by the end of Sunday, YouTube TV will begin issuing the credit to qualifying customers. The companies are still actively working on an agreement. But hopefully the credit comes regardless as compensation for all of the inconvenience to the customers.
Keep an Eye on Your Email

If YouTube TV makes good on this $20 credit, you will want to keep an eye on your email that you use to subscribe to the service. Reportedly, starting Sunday, November 9, 2025, emails should begin going out to qualifying customers. These emails will explain how customers can get their statement credit. Credits will reportedly be issued by November 12, 2025.
Check for emailed directions from YouTube TV to get your $20 credit applied.
Be careful, as scammers could potentially use the opportunity to push out phishing scams as well. Make sure you are only opening emails from a legitimate source.
How are you feeling about this dispute? Is $20 enough compensation? Feel free to participate in the discussion.
