New Safety Measures Aboard Disney Transportation
After an unfortunate crash that injured many, Disney brings new safety measures to the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat.
Disney Transportation Accidents

The Magic Kingdom Ferryboats shuttle guests from the Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom parking lot) to the Magic Kingdom park.
With multiple transportation options, accidents will likely occur even at the "Most Magical Place on Earth."
There have been several incidents with the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat, with a crash this past April and another again in July.
Magic Kingdom Ferryboat Crash

During the incident in July, multiple guests aboard the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat shared that the boat came to a sudden stop without warning.
Due to this sudden jerk, multiple guests were thrown forward, and metal trash cans were moved, injuring guests in the process.
Although Disney did not make a public statement about this crash, Disney responded by removing all trash cans from the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat.
New Ferryboat Safety Measures

After several months, the trash cans have now returned to the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat. However, now all trash cans are secured to the flooring.
As an added safety measure, trash cans are now secured aboard the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat.
Although Disney remains silent on this incident, it sounds as though this is a positive step to prevent further injuries.
