Disney Testing a New Feature on the My Disney Experience App
Disney relies heavily on the My Disney Experience app, and now they are testing a new feature to help make navigating the parks easier. What do you think of this new addition?
My Disney Experience App
Although many guests would rather not be on their phone while on vacation, the My Disney Experience app for Disney World Guests is truly invaluable. After all, it has everything you need to enjoy a magical vacation!
This app helps Guests plan their vacation, from booking your next Lightning Lane Multi-Pass selection to even locating your car after a long day in the parks.
Like all apps, it receives regular updates to improve the overall guest experience. Earlier this summer, Disney created a new update that would help streamline booking dining reservations.
Just recently, Disney streamlined viewing your daily plans with the new "My Plans" feature.
Find Disney Merchandise Tool
We have all been there, you see the perfect Disney souvenir and search all over the Disney Parks to find it. Often, this leads to frustration and detracts from valuable park time.
Disney is now testing a brand new feature on the My Disney Experience app to "Find Merchandise".
With this new feature, guests could search for a particular item and then find which locations have this item in stock. This has the potential to save so much time and avoid unneeded frustration.
My Disney Experience Testing
When I (Donna) selected the Holiday Mickey and Minnie hat ornament, it showed that it was in stock at the World of Disney.
"Find Merchandise" is now being tested on the My Disney Experience app.
Although this ornament may also be available at other locations, Disney reminds us that this is only showing availability at the World of Disney during this testing phase. We hope this initial testing phase goes well and will soon be offered for all 4 Theme Parks. This may be the best update after Mobile Checkout.

They used to have something years ago like this, where you could locate where the item was at various locations in Walt Disney World shops, and it was a feature I remember using many times. I was upset when they got rid of it, so I hope it gets brought back permanently.

This was the best part of the Shop Disney Parks app. Glad to see this feature might be making a comeback!
I love this!! Can't even remember all the hell I've been through trying to find 1 specific item and going crazy in the stores only to find it's out of stock.
This is an amazing addition to the MyDisney app! I hope all stores can eventually be added. I will use this often!!!
