A nightmare situation is unfolding at Disney's Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. Unfortunately, sometimes even the best laid safety precautions fail, leading to horrible and traumatic events in the most Magical Place on Earth.

Tonight, one such event has occurred. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with those at the center of the unimaginable tragedy.

First Responders Are on the Scene

First responders are on the scene at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Unfortunately, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, there was a call put in for service at 6:40 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, that was unfortunately coded as "dead person."

Multiple emergency responders were dispatched to the location. The address is consistent with the address for Disney's Contemporary Resort, the resort famous for having a segment of the Disney Monorail that passes through it.

Though it is not officially confirmed, witnesses report that a person fell from the Monorail platform. Unfortunately, the person did not survive the situation. The scene is currently reported to be taped off while the police make their reports.

The Resort Monorail is reportedly closed for the time being.

There are currently no other official details surrounding this traumatic event. However, we do expect details will emerge in the official report once the responders have completed their work, and we will provide updates if and when they become available.

This is an absolute tragedy that no one should have to experience.
