Pandora Experience Now Blocked Off to Guests
This is the Land of Pandora closure that we were not expecting. See how this may affect your next trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Animal Kingdom Closures

Disney's Animal Kingdom is my second favorite park. I (Donna) absolutely love the Land of Pandora and the clever theming as you travel through Africa and Asia.
There are many changes taking place at Disney's Animal Kingdom, in particular with the phased closure of DinoLand USA. Be sure to enjoy your last opportunity to "Catch that dino with a new overlay at DINOSAUR.
Replacing the "It's Tough To Be a Bug" 3D show held inside the iconic Tree of Life, "Zootopia Better Zoogether" opens November 7, 2025. Check out all of the great meet and greets that this new attraction will bring HERE.
Land of Pandora Experience

In the pre-show for Flight of Passage, guests are scanned and linked with their own personal avatar. When they enter the "Link Chamber," they connect to their avatar and are then able to fly on the back of their banshee.
When exiting the attraction, guests can make their own Avatar at the ACE Avatar Maker located inside the Windtraders gift shop. An Alpha Centauri Expedition Scan Technician uses a facial capture scanner to enter the full can into the Hybrid Digitizing System.
Guests can then choose 1 of 4 body types to choose from. Both youth and adult body types are available. From here, a personal, unique avatar is formed.
Pandora Experience Closed to Guests

The ACE Avatar Maker first opened in 2017, but closed for quite some time due to COVID. Once it reopened in 2022, many were worried for this unique experience. Back in June, Disney offered a deep disount on this experience.
ACE Avatar Maker is now closed off to guests.
Recently, guests visitng the Land of Pandora noticed that this ACE Avatar Maker location is now blocked off to guests. It is unclear if this is for a refurbishment or if this experience may be closing to guests.
