Breaking: Reopening Date Set for This Classic EPCOT Attraction
With so many attractions currently closed at Walt Disney World, we are thrilled that this classic attraction finally has a reopening date.
Walt Disney World Expansion

As Walt Disney once said, "We keep moving forward," and that is very true at Walt Disney World. This week, the Walt Disney Company shared BIG plans for Walt Disney World over the next 10 years.
These plans greatly affect Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Epcot was in a state of transformation that began in 2019 and continued until CommuniCore Hall was completed in 2024.
While the EPCOT transformation was pared down quite a bit, the majority of work is now complete in this park for the time being.
EPCOT Closures

Even though EPCOT is saved from big expansion projects, refurbishments and routine maintenance must still be completed.
Spaceship Earth closed for refurbishment on August 25, 2025. At that time, Disney did not provide a reopening date. Previously, Disney announced BIG plans to completely overhaul Spaceship Earth. You can see those plans here.
With a new permit filed it appears that this refurbishment will not include any of these big plans. The permit is simply for "General Construction" and the work will be completed by Engineering Design Solutions.
Spaceship Earth Reopening

Today, Walt Disney World announced that Spaceship Earth will reopen this month on October 25, 2025. Just as a reminder, GEO-82 Lounge, located at the back of Spaceship Earth, has remained open during this refurbishment.
Spaceship Earth reopens on October 25, 2025
Until Spaceship Earth fully reopens on October 25th, GEO-82 Lounge guests will follow signs to enter the lounge through the west entrance.
Do you like Spaceship Earth, or do you think it needs the full overhaul that was once proposed? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.

I like spaceship earth as it is. Love Judi Dench narration. Hope they don't replace her. But wouldn't mind updating the ending projection part
