Price increases are a part of life at Walt Disney World. The trend is for Guests to expect prices to increase every single year.

Typically, when Disney announces a great discount, such as for resort rooms or park tickets, a price increase soon follows.

Although price increases are evident throughout the year, it appears that October comes with huge price increases across Walt Disney World. So far, the first day of October is marked with our first price increase.

Given the fact that Walt Disney World just announced great discounts for resort stays in early 2026, Disney has now increased the pricing on the Disney World Travel Protection Plan. This travel protection, available through Arch Insurance Company, is available for an added cost for US residents.

Previously priced at $95 (per person), this price is now increased overnight to $99 (per person). This will make a significant change to the budget for a family.

The last time that we saw a price increase for the Disney World Travel Vacation Plan was in February 2023. This price has remained consistent for several years, but it is still a bit of a shock for guests hoping to make travel plans.

Disney often increases pricing at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland in October each year.

If you are planning to purchase Disney park tickets soon or renew your Walt Disney World Annual Pass, we highly recommend that you do this sooner rather than later. Disney occasionally provides a warning of a price increase, but oftentimes these price increases occur immediately. By purchasing these now, you can lock in the current prices before a potential price increase.
