Universal Orlando Wins BIG - Beating Out Disney For Best of The Best Theme Park Awards

Amusement Today created the Golden Ticket Awards in 1998. This was done to award the "best of the best" in the amusement park industry.
The Golden Ticket Awards this year took place on September 6th at Carowinds.
Awards consist of Best Water Park, Best Amusement Park, Best Guest Experience, and so much more!
Universal WINS BIG!
Universal won BIG at the Golden Ticket awards, taking home FIVE awards! Epic Universe has a lot to do with Universal taking home multiple Golden Ticket awards, as many of the attractions help solidify their win.
Universal even beat out Disney for Best Dark Ride! Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment beat Disney's Rise of the Resistance, getting top spot for Best Dark Ride.
Universal took home Golden Ticket awards in:
- Best Dark Ride - Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
- Best New Roller Coaster - Stardust Racers
- Best New Attraction Installation - Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
- Best New Theme Concept - Universal Monsters-themed area
- Best Water Park - Volcano Bay
Some honorable mentions for Universal include the "Best New Family Attraction" category with Battle at the Ministry coming in second, Monsters Unchained in third, and Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge in fourth. Hiccup's Wing Gliders came in second for "Best New Family Coaster." Epic Universe even took third in "Best Kids' Area."
