New Rope Drop Experience at Disney World
Get ready to unlock the magic! Walt Disney World is giving you a new reason to rope drop, and you don't want to miss this.
Disney World Rope Drop

Rope drop at Disney Parks essentially means the time that a particular park or experience opens. Many guests love rope drop while enjoying shorter wait times for attractions.
Walt Disney World has made many changes for Rope Drop over the last several months. Disney's Hollywood Studios shifted this summer for special Early Entry offerings.
While at Magic Kingdom, the rope is now missing during Early Entry. This is the BEST change for Magic Kingdom. This is also a great time to meet characters roaming throughout the Park.
Disney Store Memories

The old adage "The early bird gets the worm" is definitely true for Guests visiting Walt Disney World. Now you may want to plan a whole new Rope Drop strategy.
Some of my (Donna) core memories with my children were created by Disney. My oldest children still fondly remember when they were able to open our local Disney Store.
This was an entire ceremony, complete with Sorcerer Mickey dress-up and even a free souvenir. Sadly, our Disney Store has closed, but this memory lives on. Now Disney is bringing this special ceremony back!
World of Disney Opening Ceremony

The World of Disney store at Disney Springs is bringing even more magic with the return of the opening of the store. Previously, a red carpet would allow the first guests of the day to enter the store with Cast Members cheering for them.

Now, a new key will help one lucky guest unlock the World of Disney. This comes complete with a certificate that "I unlocked the magic at the World of Disney". Currently, this has a Halloween overlay, but rumors suggest it will change for different seasons and celebrations.

I hate the sayings "Rope Drop" and "Mike Drop"
I'm a big fan of "Price Drop"
I’ve never rope dropped Disney Springs, well there was that one time for Gideon’s, and an opening ceremony at World of Disney is no incentive for me to do so. But…how about they bring back the opening ceremony at Magic Kingdom? Now that would definitely get me to the park on time!
