Refurbishments at Disney World

Disney schedules refurbishments from time to time to keep things running in prime condition. This includes rides, restaurants, pools, and even hotels. Unfortunately, these refurbishments can impact Guests' stays.

Guests may see or hear construction when these refurbishments are being completed.

Some current refurbishments happening at Disney World right now are the Grand Floridian Lobby, the Polynesian entrance. Upcoming refurbishments include Blizzard Beach Water Park, The Paddock Pool at Saratoga Springs, and the Kiddie Pool at Disney's All Star Movies.

Upcoming Closure

Beginning tomorrow, September 8th, The Samawati Springs Pool Slide will be closed. This slide is at the Samawati Springs Pool located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village.

The upcoming pool slide closure is due to scheduled routine maintenance.

This is a temporary closure; however, there is no reopening date shared at this time.

How Will This Impact Guests

Fortunately, Guests will still be able to use The Samawati Springs Pool and the kids' water play area during this closure. This scheduled closure is only impacting the pool's water slide.

The Samawati Springs Pool will remain open during the pool's slide closure.

Guests who were hoping to enjoy the waterslide can head to the Uzima Springs Pool located at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House.
