Warning: Magic Kingdom To Close Early For Private Event

During the fall and holiday season Magic Kingdom closes early for the special hard ticketed events. One night this fall, the Magic Kingdom will close early on another night for a private event. Find out when!

Magic Kingdom is a must-do for many families visiting Walt Disney World. I never feel that a trip is complete without a visit to see Cinderella Castle. However, Magic Kingdom comes at a premium price!

Magic Kingdom is priced the highest of all 4 Theme Parks for a single-day ticket.

Along with the Magic Kingdom being more expensive for a single day ticket than the other parks, the MultiPass Lightning Lanes are priced higher too.

Dates To Avoid This Fall

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party has 14 dates in September and 17 dates in October. On these 31 dates, Magic Kingdom will be closing at 6 PM. Day Guests on party nights will not be able to enjoy nighttime entertainment on these days.

We tend to recommend visiting Magic Kingdom on party days, as the crowds tend to be lowering. However, if you are hoping to see the new Disney Starlight Parade or fireworks, you will have to battle the crowds.

Private Event

We had previously shared that the Magic Kingdom would be closing early in October for a private event, however the specific date was unclear at the time. We now know that the Magic Kingdom will close early for a private event on October 21st at 6 PM.

The Magic Kingdom will close at 6 PM on October 21st.

The Garner IT Symposium will host a conference at the Swan & Dolphin Resort, October 20-23, 2025. On their website for this conference, they share, "Don't miss our special event at the Magic Kingdom Theme Park! We've reserved the entire park so you can enjoy food, beverages, and access to popular attractions."

If you are visiting Magic Kingdom the week of the 19th, expect heavy crowds at night as the traditional nighttime entertainment will only be offered 3 out of the 7 nights.
