Major Outages Impact All of Disney World
Major Outages have led to widespread shutdowns at Walt Disney World. Almost every attraction shut down! If you are wondering what is going on, you have come to the right place.
Major Outages at Disney World
Major outages are impacting Walt Disney World as of late afternoon on August 29, 2025. We have honestly never seen anything like it!
A power surge has reportedly knocked out power and led to operational delays for over 40 Disney attractions across all four parks! This was more than just a rain delay.
This includes rides and shows. Some areas have no power at all.
What Rides Are Down
Almost every major attraction went down at all 4 parks! It is easier to list what remained operational.
At the time of writing, Disney's Hollywood Studios had no operational attractions. Only character meets, and Mickey Shorts were running. Meanwhile, Epcot was left only with character encounters, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros, and Turtle Talk with Crush.
The Magic Kingdom was faring slightly better with a handful of rides such as The Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan's Flight, 'it's a small world after all," and Prince Charming's Regal Carrousel. We expect to see more attractions pop back up soon, especially for Halloween partygoers.
Animal Kingdom's Avatar: World of Pandora is running as well as Kilimanjaro Safaris. However, little else outside of character meets is up.
Transportation Delays
The surge also caused transportation delays. The Monorail was suddenly delayed for Guests as well.
We feel sorry for those visiting right now and hope things are resolved soon!
UPDATE: It does look as if some of the issues are being resolved gradually. However, we hope everything is operational for guests very soon!
