Epic Universe Adds New Attractions to Express Pass
If you are going to Epic Universe soon, and you are hoping to use Express Pass, we have some GREAT news for you. Epic Universe just added TWO more attractions to Universal Express.
Express at Epic Universe
Epic Universe, Universal Orlando Resort's brand new theme park, has only been open for a few months, and some things are already changing. Here is a rundown of the new expectations you can have if you want to use Universal Express during your visit.
Currently, Epic Universe allows guests to purchase Universal Express so they can skip the main line for select attractions. However, Universal Unlimited is not an option, so guests can only use it to skip the main line at included attractions once. And, it is not currently included at hotels offering FREE Express Unlimited for Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Orlando. You can see our guide to Express HERE.
But we do have great news. Universal just added two more rides to Universal Express at Epic Universe! This means there is only one attraction that is not currently available on Express.
Mine Cart Madness
The first attraction added to Universal Express is one that dramatically increases the value. Mine Cart Madness, the Donkey Kong coaster, was not previously part of Express.
However, now guests can enjoy Mine Cart Madness as part of Universal Express. This is the new Donkey Kong coaster in Donkey Kong Country.
Keep in mind that the Mine Cart Madness queue sometimes reaches capacity, especially at the end of the day. The attraction also opens on a delay from time to time, so keep an eye on the app and be strategic in when you use your pass.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
Harry Potter fans will be delighted that Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry has also been added to Universal Express for Epic Universe. This ride usually (but not always) has the highest wait time in the park, so it makes Express an even more appealing option.
Mine Cart Madness and Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry have both been added to Universal Express at Epic Universe.
Keep in mind this attraction often experiences delays, and even the Express Queue can get backed up. This means your wait time could still feel long. It will typically be 25-50% of the posted attraction wait. My (Kate's) party has at times used the Express queue and still waited 45 minutes to an hour due to unlucky timing in terms of operations.

What is Not Included in Express at Epic Universe
For now, the only ride that is not included in Universal Express at Epic Universe is Dragon Racer's Rally. This is a fun dragon flight lesson at How to Train Your Dragon-Isle of Berk.
This ride has a slow load time is very limited in its capacity. So, it often experiences long wait times. There is currently no information indicating whether it will be added to Express at some point.
