Disney World Warns of This Early Park Closure

We love to hear that park hours are extended, but no one likes to hear that "The Most Magical Place on Earth" is closing early! How will this affect your travel plans?

Park hours are a great way to plan which park you would like to visit each day. Walt Disney World posts rather standard park hours in advance, and many times we find them extending park hours.

Unfortunatley, there is one date this month where Walt Disney World will actually shorten Theme Park Hours.

Animal Kingdom Park Hours

Typically, Disney's Animal Kingdom offers the earliest Theme Park opening. The bad side is that this park also typically closes the earliest of all 4 Theme Parks.

Disney's Animal Kingdom typically closes early to allow time to care for the animals. Tycially, the Park will stay open until 6:00 pm or even later on select dates.

However, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, Disney's Animal Kingdom will now close at 5:00 pm. For all other park days for August 24th through August 30th, Disney's Animal Kingdom closes at 6:00 pm. There is no stated reason for this early closure.

Just as a reminder, if you're staying at a Disney Resort, take advantage of the extra 30 minutes each morning to enter the parks with the early entry benefit. This means that you can enter Disney's Animal Kingdom at 7:30 am on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
