Disney Guests Behaving Badly
Over the last few years, we have seen our fair share of poorly behaved Guests. Whether that be someone sticking their feet in the water on Splash Mountain, brawls breaking out, or a drunk man shutting down the Skyliner, we feel like we have seen it all.
Disney even went so far as to post a courtesy reminder on the website over one year ago.
Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness, and compassion. Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.
Living with the Land Incident
In a video posted on June 22nd via TikTok by sunshinesoulco_fl , it appears as if a Guest was successful in exiting the ride vehicle at Living with the Land while the boat was in motion.
According to the caption, it appeared that the guest dropped their cell phone in the water. While the guest exited the water, attempting to rejoin his boat, he also ran along the sand inside the Living with the Land greenhouse.
There are numerous signs posted instructing guests to stay off the sand areas along this attraction, as this is a living greenhouse. Unfortunately, this one dropped phone violated quite a few safety protocols, both for the guest and the greenhouse.
Will Disney prohibit cellphones on attractions?
On occasion, Disney has added new rules to attractions for the safety of all guests. We saw this at the end of 2022, when Walt Disney World posted signs at Space Mountain: “Hand-held or loose articles, including cell phones and cameras, are not permitted while riding. Items must be secured on the person, in a vehicle storage pouch, or left with a non-rider.“ We later saw this when TRON Lightcycle opened at Magic Kingdom.

Unfortunately, this is not the only time a dropped cellphone resulted in disruptions. Earlier, we shared how a dropped cellphone immediately closed down Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. It will be interesting to see if Disney tries to prohibit cellphone usage during more attractions.
