Disney has recently made a change that is impacting all Guests at their water parks. Find out what it is and why we LOVE it!
Disney Water Parks

Disney has two water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Typhoon Lagoon has a standard beach theme, with the backstory of a tropical paradise that was hit by a typhoon. Blizzard Beach is supposed to be the remnants of a ski resort that was hastily built during a freak snowstorm in Central Florida, which of course soon melted when the weather went back to normal.
For 2025, Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can enjoy admission to one of the water parks on check-in day!
On May 21st both water parks were open at the same time. This resulted in the first time since 2019 that all six Disney World parks were open at the same time!
Previous Towel Rule

Previously, Disney Resort Guests were the only water park guests who were able to receive complimentary towels. Other water park guests had the option to rent a towel (the cost was $2 per towel) or bring a towel from home.
The only Guests visiting Disney Water Parks who were able to receive complimentary towels were Disney Resort Hotel Guests.
We have exciting news that this has now changed!
Complimentary Towels for Everyone

It has been reported that water park guest can now receive a complimentary towel to use during their visit! This is great news for Guests who are not staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel.
All water parks guests are able to receive a complimentary towel to use during their visit!
With this change, Resort Guests won’t need to show their room key or Magic Band to receive a towel either!
Are you excited to see that towels are now complimentary to all Guests visiting Disney Water Parks? Will you be visiting one or both of the water parks on your next visit to Disney World? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to share this post with your friends!
