Exclusive Sneak Peek of Disney’s Little Mermaid Show with a Disney Legend

After being closed for several years, the Little Mermaid show returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Now with a new name, “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure,” all-new set pieces, effects, and a new design. In addition, the theater will be refreshed!

“Watch as Ariel follows her dreams to be part of the human world. This little mermaid’s adventure is brimming with familiar moments—like encounters with King Triton and Ursula—and stirring scenes.”

“The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure” will officially open on May 27, 2025, but we now have an exclusive sneak peek of this new show.

Little Mermaid Sneak Peek

The stage is set, and now select Disney fans can enjoy this show before the Cast Member Previews in a few weeks.

A true Disney Legend, Jodi Benson (the voice of the animated Ariel) was in attendance for a sneak peek of “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure.” Jodi takes guests backstage to see many of the new characters, including Max and many of the “Under the Sea” scenic elements, and also puppets.

Jodi Benson was most excited for the “Kiss the Girl” scene, and she now confirmed that the “Kissing Frogs” will join this beautiful scene. We are able to learn more about how they brought real-life expressions to the characters of Ursula and King Triton.

Biggest Day for Hollywood Studios

May 27, 2025, will be a BIG day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This day will mark the opening of 3 New Shows, including: “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure,” “Get Animated” show, and “Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After.”
