The fire popped up at the World Celebration Popcorn Cart. You may have purchased popcorn or Mickey Bars before at this cart beneath the Monorail tracks.
According to onlookers, the fire did not seem to have time to get out of control. Cast Members reportedly sprang into action with fire extinguishers to stop the blaze before it could spread beyond the cart.
At this time, the popcorn side of the cart is reportedly a bit charred and is closed for operation. However, it is rumored that some guests have been able to purchase ice cream treats or bottled sodas and waters from the unaffected portion of the cart. There is no reopening timeline for the popcorn maker just yet, but hopefully it will be back in good order soon!
Of course, in this age of social media, much of the action was caught on video. TikTok user Pink_Panini_Princess caught footage and shared it. You can view the video of the concerning incident here.
Fortunately no injuries have been reported.
Happily, no injuries related to the incident have been reported. Hopefully, operations will be back to normal before long.
