Disney has welcomed some brand-new animals to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Unless you have been to Australia, it is possible you have never heard of Tammar wallabies. But now you can meet some for yourself!

These wide-eyed creatures are truly adorable. Many people think Tammar wallabies look a little like miniature kangaroos!

However, they are a completely different species. In fact, Tammar wallabies are the smallest type of wallaby on the planet. They typically do not grow to weigh more than 15 or 20 pounds.

You will find their habitat at Discovery Island, a place some people rush past without realizing there are lots of cool and unique animals to see, including ring-tailed lemurs and the ever-popular Asian Small-Clawed Otters!

While you are in Animal Kingdom, don’t forget to go say hi to Bakso the baby tiger before he is all grown up! Here is what he and his mom have been up to for Mother’s Day.
