The Virtual Queue for the new Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction is notoriously hard to get. And it might be even harder to get now that park guests who have figured out how to work the system are starting to capitalize on it.
VQ For Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry

Many Harry Potter fans are heading to Epic Universe previews in hopes of experiencing the new Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction. For some people, a visit to Universal only comes once every few years or even once in a lifetime.
This is why so many Epic Universe guests have been disappointed to find that, for now, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry is only accessible via Virtual Queue. And, the virtual Queue for the Ministry of Magic ride is not easy to get, and it has caused frustration and disappointment for some visitors.
Since the attraction, like the rest of Epic Universe, is still in technical rehearsal, it is currently not running consistently. So, space in the queue is limited and fluctuates from day to day. You can read more about the VQ situation right here. Sadly, it may be even harder to get a VQ now due to the possibility of unsavory behavior from other Epic Universe Guests.
Possible VQ Scalping at Epic Universe

Right now, the Virtual Queue at Epic Universe is not linked to specific guests. Therefore, a person securing a Virtual Queue could potentially secure a place in the queue for a party larger than their actual travel party size. For example, a party of 2 could book a space for 4.
We have heard of kind Guests who have offered to gift their extra spaces in the VQ to people who were unable to conjure up a VQ for themselves. Alas, not all magicians are good! Now, visitors are also reporting that some guests are allegedly scalping their extra spaces in the Battle at the Ministry VQ.
In other words, it is possible that during your visit to Epic Universe, you may encounter guests who are securing spaces in the VQ and then attempting to sell those spaces to guests who were not so lucky. Rumor has it that guests who have figured out how to capitalize on the VQ situation have been approaching other guests and asking them for $20-$50 for a spot in the VQ.
What’s a Guest to Do

We certainly would encourage you to steer clear of potential scalpers. After all, it’s better to protect yourself from possible scams.
Beware of potential VQ scalpers when you visit Epic Universe.
Hopefully, Universal will find a way to make the Virtual Queue situation less frustrating soon, especially once the park is fully operational in a few weeks. However, Epic is also equipped to implement even MORE Virtual Queues if that is the direction Universal wishes to explore. You can read about that possibility HERE.
If nothing changes, then we hope you have some Felix Felicis about you when you attempt to grab a Virtual Queue for the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry ride!
