There is nothing quite like a day at the Magic Kingdom. It is truly the “Most Magical Place on Earth” for good reason. One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other theme parks is the great entertainment options that delight guests throughout the day.

From multiple stage shows, awe-inspiring fireworks, cavalcades, and, of course, the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Guests have so much to enjoy apart from the thrilling attractions.

Currently, guests can enjoy the Festival of Fantasy Parade at 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade at 5:10 pm and 6:25 am. Be sure to follow along with Character Locator for updated showtimes, as these can change.

Disney Parade Fail

The Festival of Fantasy Parade features so many great characters and elaborate floats. At its best, it is pure Disney magic, but all too often the unexpected can happen.

One rather common mishap for the Festival of Fantasy parade involves the large hot air balloon float that closes the parade with Mickey and Minnie Mouse aboard. The hot air balloon float causes operational problems at times.

Many times in the past, the hot air balloon would be missing while Mickey and Minnie Mouse joined another float. Yesterday, as the Festival of Fantasy parade headed down Main Street, USA the hot air balloon deflated causing Mickey and Minnie to the front of the float.

In true Disney fashion, “The Show Must Go On” even with unexpected breakdowns. The Disney characters have a special sign to alert Cast Members if they feel unsafe or if a show or parade needs to stop.

Although this may not have been the perfect ending to the parade, Mickey and Minnie delivered magic until the very end.
