There were once so many enchanting extras that guests could enjoy throughout Walt Disney World. Over the past several years, many of these extras have disappeared. Now we have a sign that this enchanting extra will not return.
Canceling the Magic

It seems to many that Disney used the Park closures in 2020 as an opportunity to reset the many perks offered at the Disney Parks. There have been many changes since 2020; check out a few of the resort perks that fans miss the most.
In the Disney Parks, enchanting extras were also removed. For example, Disney officially removed the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game back in 2021. Although Disney has not officially removed some fun experiences such as the Jedi Academy, as each year passes, we fear these experiences will never return.
Now it appears another enchanting extra is officially closed at the Magic Kingdom.
Pirates League Removed

Years ago, the Pirates League was a place where families could get Pirate or Mermaid makeovers and take the pirate oath! The Pirate makeovers differed from the Bippity Boppity Boutique makeovers in two key ways: they were more affordably priced, and they were for kids AND adults!
This closed in 2020, but the sign remained. Some of us were hopeful that this may return, but a new permit filed suggests that the existing Pirates League sign will be refurbished for the new Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge.
The permit was filed for 4873 Caribbean Way, which is close to the current construction zone for this new lounge. Interestingly, the permit lists “refurbish signage” rather than the typical “install signage” from previous projects. This leads us to believe that the existing Pirates League sign will be used for this refurbishment.
Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge

So what will take over the Pirates League experience? The new lounge will offer a welcoming space for all pirates (big and small). All are welcome to raise a toast to the pirate life. Guests visiting this lounge will find a “sea-worthy selection of grogs and grub.”
A new permit suggests the refurbishment of the Pirates League signage.
With an expected opening in 2025, this new lounge will be located near the queue for this attraction. You can see the concept art for this new space HERE.
