Guardians of the Galaxy Wait Times for its First Day on Standby

If you have been following Walt Disney World news, you know that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT started the day with a massive change. Here is a rundown of how wait times looked today.

EPCOT's eTicket attraction Guardian's of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is arguably one of the best roller coasters in Orlando. Initially, Disney managed demand for the attraction by offering it only as a virtual queue or providing paid access to the lightning lane.

For the first years, Disney only offered a walk-up standby queue for Guardians of the Galaxy at after-hours events. However, now all that has changed.

As of today, February 25, 2025, Disney has dropped the Virtual Queue for Guardians of the Galaxy. Tiana's Bayou Adventure also moved to a standby queue.

How Were Wait Times for Guardians

Guardians of the Galaxy had another milestone today as well. It joined the list of attractions available to Disney Resort Hotel Guests during Early Entry. Guests also experience new procedures for rope drop.

During Early Entry, we checked the wait time for Guardians of the Galaxy. It was a reasonable 35-minute wait!

However, once the general public gained access to EPCOT, that wait time shot up. It reached 170 minutes by 9:25.

The Wait Time Stabilizes

One thing that is guaranteed to change throughout the day at Walt Disney World is wait times. After a few hours of operation, the wait time for Guardians of the Galaxy shifted. It hovered around 60 minutes for most of the afternoon.

The wait dropped to 60 minutes for much of the afternoon.

Frozen Ever After actually settled in as the ride with the highest afternoon wait at 145 minutes. Of course, that could have been impacted by the fact that Remy's Ratatouille Adventure went down temporarily.

Once Test Track reopens, there will be another queue to spread visitors around a bit more. So hopefully we will see more balance as the weather heats up.

We will probably continue to see a trend where demand for Guardians spikes after rope drop and then evens out. But, if anything surprising happens, we will surely let you know.
