Rise of the Resistance is undoubtedly one of the most popular Disney attractions offering an amazing immersive experience for Star Wars fans. Unfortunately, your next trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios may be a bit complicated to enjoy this favorite attraction.
Busy Holiday Crowds
Christmas is in full swing at Walt Disney World this weekend with the start of the International Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT starting yesterday.
With the Thanksgiving holiday, busier crowds arrived at Walt Disney World with record-high pricing for the new Lightning Lane Multi-Pass pricing. For select dates, Magic Kingdom (the highest-priced park) reaches $35 per person. Check out our full review HERE.
Higher crowds bring higher wait times across the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, but now one attraction’s wait times are even higher than normal.
Rise of the Resistance
Rise of the Resistance boasts high wait times primarily because of its popularity. Secondly, high wait times are due to the trackless ride system and many animatronics, this attraction often closes temporarily.
For the past couple of weeks, guests have seen higher wait times than normal. Rise of the Resistance is operating at half capacity due to one of the drops being broken.
For an attraction that already has regular temporary closures and high wait times, this is not welcome news. Thankfully the attraction remains open, but you will need to pack your patience if you hope to enjoy this attraction.
Best Tips
There are three options to enjoy Rise of the Resistance. The standby line, purchasing the Lightning Lane Single Pass for this attraction, and at times a Single-Rider entrance may be available.
Onsite Guests will be able to purchase and make Single Pass 7 days ahead of their arrival date. Offsite Guests will be able to do so 3 days ahead.
The Lightning Lane Single Pass often sells out for this attraction so plan ahead if you hope to enjoy this attraction. For example, today the wait times have been over 100 minutes consistently.
