If you ask Disney fans to name the most iconic snacks in Walt Disney World, Dole Whip will often top the list along with the Mickey-shaped snacks. Dole Whip has long been considered a snacking staple.

However, many people do not realize that Dole Whip is not owned by Disney and has no exclusive agreements with the company. In fact, Dole Whip originated in the Dole Technical Center in San Jose, California. Disney is just ONE place where it is sold.

Some people have found it in Hawaii, at stands at Florida beaches, and even at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt shops. And, best of all, you can also find the iconic treat when you visit Universal Orlando!

Dole Whip at Islands of Adventure

If you find yourself craving Dole Whip while you are visiting Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando, you will not come up empty-handed. You can easily find a dish!

Simply head over to Wimpy’s. This is a quick-service burger place in Toon Lagoon based on Popeye cartoons. Wimpy’s is actually a great place to consider if you need a meal. Here is our review!

Here, you can order Dole Whip. Pineapple Dole Whip is the only option at Wimpy’s. You can find a variety of flavors all around the Walt Disney World Resort.

Dole Whip at Universal Studios

If you are in Universal Studios Orlando, you are also in luck. There is Dole Whip to be had here, too!

Simply, head to Schwab’s Pharmacy. It is located in the Hollywood section of Universal Studios. It is near the park entrance so you could easily start or end your day with a treat!

The problem with Schawb’s is that you might just find yourself faced with so many good options that you feel conflicted about what to order. This is a good problem to have. And, since you are on vacation, there is nothing wrong with having one tasty treat now and coming for another one later, especially since Universal Studios is so easy to navigate.

Is Dole Whip as Good in Universal?

My (Kate’s) family and I tried some on a recent trip to see how it stacks up against Disney’s version. Here are our findings.

Dole Whip is JUST as good at Universal. Honestly, in terms of flavor, it tastes exactly the same in both parks. It is Dole Whip at its finest.

The main difference is that Pineapple Dole Whip is the only option at Universal. You can find a variety of flavors all around the Walt Disney World Resort.
