The construction walls are down and we are “getting closer and closer every day” for the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. Enjoy a first look inside this ride and see the animatronics, a Splash Mountain Easter egg, and even the big drop.
Opening Details
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on June 28, 2024. It will pick up where the movie left off: with Tiana’s success! We will see what Tiana’s life looks like now with a successful restaurant.
The attraction officially opens on June 28th at Magic Kingdom, and later in 2024 at Disneyland. When it first opens, a virtual queue will be in use. Read more on this HERE.

Exclusive First Look
Cast Members, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club Members will begin special previews for this attraction soon. But Disney just released a special sneak peek as singer/songwriter PJ Morton was among the first to enjoy this attraction.
PJ Morton wrote the new original song, “Special Spice” for this attraction which you can hear in the video below. For the first time, we actually see inside this attraction as the animatronics come to life in the grand finale.
Of course, what many guests love is the big 5-story drop. We even get to see this in the video below. It appears that you will still get pretty wet on this attraction either to the delight or dismay of guests.
Possible Easter Egg
PJ Morton is also featured in the newest “We Call It Imagineering- Soundscapes” that was recently released. During this episode, we get even more images inside Tiana’s Bayou Adventure including a possible Splash Mountain Easter egg.

In the above image of Princess Tiana, we see a hollowed-out stump behind her. Disney hinted that many Splash Mountain Easter eggs, or nods, will be present in this attraction. Although this is not a confirmed nod to Splash Mountain, this hollowed-out stump does look very similar to the profile of Chickapin Hill which served as the icon for the former attraction.
Now that all attraction walls are down, Disney shares our first look at the new attraction sign for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (as pictured above). Get ready for your next Disney vacation with this FREE concierge service:
