It is time to show us your Disney Pin collections! Guest-to-cast member pin trading is officially BACK in Walt Disney World. Here are the new pin sets you and your kids can spot and trade for.
Pin Trading
One long-standing tradition in Disney Parks is pin trading. Guests of all ages love to bring their Disney pins in the hops of swapping for desirable pieces for their collections. In fact, the parks will celebrate 25 years of pin trading this year!
For a long time, Disney only offered pin trading from pin boards and various mystery pin opportunities throughout the parks. But, now Cast-to-Guest pin trading is BACK. You can read about the happy news HERE.
Cast-to-guest pin trading kicked off on April 7, 2024. It is an exciting time for people who love hunting for pins to enhance their collections.
Exclusive Cast Member Pins
With the return of Cast-to-guest pin trading comes another fun tradition. Did you know there are Disney pins that are exclusive for cast member trading for a limited time?
According to Disney, “eagle-eyed guests may find pins from new Hidden Disney pin sets while trading across Walt Disney World. Each set contains five standard and uniquely themed designs!”
What fun it is for traders to find something special! If you aren’t quite sure what you are looking for, ask a cast member to point you in the right direction.
Can You Buy Them?
You will be able to find these pins in select retail locations if you wish to go that route. According to Disney, “Later this year, a retail mystery pouch will be available with the original five pins, plus a sixth pin in each set — known as a ‘chaser’ pin.”
Rare Disney Pins are joining the mix for pin trading.
Even better, for those who love an even bigger challenge, within the retail mystery pouch there will be a NEW element. Disney is introducing a “super chaser” pin in one particular set, which wil be an even rarer find! This will be a fun find for those who value scarcity.
