Disney Cruise Line has just announced the name of their newest ship. It also has a theme that you won’t want to miss!
The Disney Destiny
Disney Cruise Line (DCL) has just revealed the name of the newest ship in their fleet, the Disney Destiny! This will be the third ship in the Wish class.
The Disney Destiny will be the third ship in the Wish class.
The Disney Destiny is expected to launch in 2025 along with the Disney Adventure. The Disney Adventure is in a different class and will sail out of Singapore.
DCL’s newest named ship, The Disney Destiny, reached a major construction milestone today with the keel laying ceremony. This took place at the shipyard in Germany.
Heroes and Villians
Disney Cruise Line shared that the Disney Destiny will have a Heroes and Villians theme! I (Heather) love this theming!
DCL says the Disney Destiney “will draw inspiration from epic tales of Disney, Pixar and Marvel” with their “Heroes and Villians” theme.
Teaser Video
Guests will encounter heroes and villains when they sail on the Disney Destiny. They will see characters including those from ‘The Lion King,’ ‘Hercules’ and ‘One Hundred and One Dalmations.’

Disney's ships are beautiful, especially the first four ships, Magic, Wonder, Dream and Fantasy. I liked certain aspects of the Wish also, but not everything, and believe it was not as elegant as the first four ships. The food is great, Palo is wonderful, Remy and Enchante were equally wonderful. But the most important thing about cruising is the itinerary and the ports-of-call. Using these two measures, sailing around Northern Europe, the British Isles and the Mediterranean on the Disney Magic will remain the best experiences of our lives. That ship, The Magic, and its crew, are properly named!
