Quality Over Quantity

Bob Iger returned as Disney CEO in November 2022. Over the last several earning quarters, Iger shared that Disney Entertainment will have a new focus on “quality” content over just “quantity.”

The Walt Disney Company has already cut many shows based on this new focus.  May 2023 brought the first big wave of cancellations. Since that time, Disney+ has continued to remove content that possibly underperformed. Disney has sold content to other streaming providers as they narrow their focus.

Back in February Disney announced that some of our favorite classics would be getting sequels. These sequels include Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia. I (Heather) know that these are some of my favorite Disney films, and I can’t wait to see where these new stories take us!

Recently, Disney teased about Frozen 4. You can see what Bob Iger had to say about that HERE.

Tim Allen, the voice of Woody in “Toy Story”, was recently on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and shared some big news! He shared that him and Tom Hanks have been contacted by none other than Bob Iger.

Tim said, “Bog Iger, head of Disney, said it was on.” He continued with, “It could be a very, very interesting way to reunite it.” One exciting thing to take away from this is that if Bob Iger is talking about it, it is on! Check out the video of the some of the interview below:

Tim Allen shared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that him and Tom Hanks have been contacted for “Toy Story 5.”

No further details have been shared about what the story line will be. I can’t wait to see where Andy’s toys will venture to next, but I’m sure it will be another adventure we won’t soon forget.
