Ready to sail down the bayou? Well, Disney just leaked some news that we are so excited about. Find out the new update for the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening timeline.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
When Disney first closed Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom back in January, work immediately began for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Many guests were a bit disappointed that large construction walls were erected and the sightline of Frontierland was forever changed.
Disney promises an adventure down the bayou with our favorite characters from the Princess and the Frog films including Mama Odie and her “seeing eye snake”, Juju. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen will host a Mardis Gras party that will have you dancing and clapping along all the way down the bayou.

Almost There
If you have visited Disney’s Magic Kingdom recently, there is so much work taking place in Frontierland. Originally, Disney announced an opening sometime in late 2024.
Earlier we noticed a rather interesting blackout date calendar for the Incredi-Pass for Magic Kingdom. This Annual Pass tier rarely sees blackout dates and to see several dates for September 2024 blocked seemed a bit suspicious. We wondered if this could reflect an opening timeline for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
These blocked dates were later opened. Although this may have been a glitch we are still keeping a close on the Magic Kingdom in 2024.
One great change that we noted is for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. It will still open in 2024, but the “Late 2024” is removed. This attraction opening is now bumped up on the “Upcoming Parks and Experiences Openings & Events” list. The opening of the new DVC Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Resort will now open in “Late 2024.”
Opening timelines do tend to change quite a bit over time, but we are hopeful that Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland will have another attraction sooner in 2024 rather than later.
Disney moved the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure up on the list of opening attractions in 2024.
