Disney’s Hollywood Studios quickly shifted from a half day park to a full day (or multiple days!). With the addition of Toy Story Land in 2018 and Galaxy’s Edge in 2019, the park greatly expanded the number of attractions to experience.

Because of this, many Guests find that they want to spend a full day here to experience everything. With Fantasmic! showing nightly once again, it’s so easy to spend hours and hours at this park.

Hollywood Studios is a full-day park now.

Unfortunately, the park will close early on December 10. Previously, this date followed the typical operating hour schedule of 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Now, Hollywood Studios will close at 7:00 pm. We are unsure why the park is now closing early on this date. Usually when that happens it’s for a special Cast Member event or a company has bought the park out.

As a reminder, with the new Christmas event, Jollywood Nights, the park will also close early on the following dates:

  • November 11, 18, 20, 27, 29
  • December 4, 6, 16, 18, 20

How will this affect your plans?

I have good news and bad news. The good news is Fantasmic! moves from a 9:00 showtime to a 7:30 pm showtime on this date. You will not miss the show!

The bad news is you are missing out on two hours of park time. But, hear me out! Many Guests tend to shy away from parks that close early. This would actually be a great day to visit!

So, while you may think losing out on 2 hours means you won’t be able to ride as many attractions, wait times should be shorter on this day. You may actually be able to get more done on this day!
