Disney has finally listened to us and January 9th will literally be the best day ever with 3 great improvements! Which are you most excited for?

Park Reservations

Since the phased reopening of the theme parks, park reservations have been required for all four theme parks.Although Disney makes more park passes available at times, it’s a good idea to secure them as soon as you book your vacation. This is especially important during busier times of the year.

Starting with park visits on Jan. 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. This is great news for guests with the standard theme park ticket.

Dining Plan

After a long few years, the Dining Plan finally returns on January 2024! There are now only two plans for the Disney Dining Plan (DDP). Unfortunately, they eliminated the Deluxe and Plus plans. We speculated why this may have occurred HERE. You can purchase either the Quick-Service Plan or the Disney Dining Plan as part of your 2024 vacation package.

You can check out our full breakdown to see if the Dining Plan is worth it in 2024 HERE.

Park Hopping

Finally, the BEST NEWS EVER!!! Disney just announced this morning that Park Hopping will fully return on January 9, 2024. That is right, there will be no time limit to when you can start Park Hopping starting on this day. Since Park Hopping returned in 2021, Park Hopper guests have been limited to Park Hop at 2:00 p.m. every day.

For Annual Passholders, this will look just a bit different. Disney will offer “good-to-go” days which allows Annual Passholders to enter Parks without a park reservation. More details will be released for this a bit later.

On days when Annual Passholders need a Park Reservation, they must first visit the park with the Park Reservation before they can hop at any time starting on January 9, 2024.

Disney just announced this morning that Park Hopping will fully return on January 9, 2024.

As an out of state pass holder, this is frustrating to me as my husband is not a passholder. We will be visiting the parks, together, in February & staying on site. He will not need to make park pass reservations, but I will!? Why is this so complicated?

In the other hand, I am ECSTATIC over the park hopping rule change!! Being able to park hop freely (again) definitely adds value to my expensive annual pass.
