Park Pass Reservations

Whether you love it or hate it, park reservations are still a thing at Walt Disney World. I am going to go out on a limb and guess that you do NOT love them. Alas, park reservations are still required for guests visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks.

There are a few exceptions. Annual Passholders can now avoid booking a Park Reservation when entering the parks after 2:00 p.m. (except Magic Kingdom on Saturday and Sunday).

Happily, the Park Reservation system will officially end for select guests in January 2024. In the meantime, we have some great news for Theme Park Reservations.

Reservations for Annual Passholders

Annual Passes are a great benefit to many Guests who visit the Disney Parks regularly. However, Annual Passholders usually have a finite number of Park Reservations that they can secure without a hotel reservation.

Right now, Annual Passholders can hold a select number of reservations as follows:

  • Disney Incredi-Pass: Up to 5 reservations at a time
  • Disney Sorcerer Pass: Up to 5 reservations at a time
  • Disney Pirate Pass: Up to 4 reservations at a time
  • Disney Pixie Dust Pass: Up to 3 reservations at a time

This system can make it a little tricky to plan a lengthy Walt Disney World vacation for pass holders who opt to stay off-property. Of course, like everything else, there are occasionally exceptions to this rule.

Good News: You can grab BONUS Reservations NOW

Disney just made additional BONUS reservations available for Annual Passholders. These reservations do NOT count against the regularly allotted total for Annual Passholder theme park reservations. This is especially great news for Passholders who have trips booked later in the year for dates that carry a sellout risk.

Disney already announced Bonus Park Reservation dates for early October, which you can read about HERE. But now there are even MORE. They are as follows:

  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: October 11, 14
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: October 12, 15
  • The Magic Kingdom: October 17

If you are trying to sort out your park days for your upcoming trip, the presence of these bonus reservations can be good news because it can indicate that Disney is anticipating lower theme park attendance on those days. Of course, the best way to beat the crowds remains following along with Kenny’s Crowd Calendars over on Character Locator.

Will you be taking advantage of these Bonus Park Pass Reservations? Let us know in the comments. And, feel free to pass this Disney news along to others who will benefit from it.
