The New Season of The Santa Clauses Gets a Release Date on Disney+
We have great news for fans of The Santa Clauses! The new season has a release date on Disney+!
The Santa Clauses
Disney fans were filled with nostalgic joy when Disney released a holly jolly series based on the popular movie franchise The Santa Clause, starring Tim Allen. The brand new series premiered November 16, 2022, on Disney+, just in time to kick off the holiday season.
The new Disney+ Original series The Santa Clauses follows Scott Calvin (Disney Legend, Tim Allen) as he considers retiring from his holly jolly day job to be a better father and husband. But can he find someone to fill his iconic snow boots?
You can watch all 6 episodes of the first season on Disney+ as well as the movies that started it all.
The Second Season
The second round of episodes will not be without changes. In fact, a new star is coming onto the scene.
This actor is not meant to replace Tim Allen. As it stands, Tim Allen will continue in the beloved role of Santa/Scott Calvin and serve as an executive producer. Additionally, Elizabeth Mitchell will reprise her role as Carol.
The new star is being brought in to play an entirely different character rooted in holiday lore: the Easter Bunny! Former SNL star Tracy Morgan will be joining the cast to fill this character's shoes-or paws, rather. It will certainly be interesting for fans to see how the Easter Bunny fits into the storyline!
The series is also getting a host of other stars including Gabriel Iglesias, who will play Kris Kringle. He is the owner of a Christmas-themed amusement park in Santa Land. Eric Stonestreet is also joining the cast to play Magnus Antas. He is a Mad Santa who is coming to reclaim the job, which he held in the 14th century.
Release Date
We assumed the new season would debut in November when Disney really ramps up into full holiday mode. Disney+ just confirmed the premiere date, and we are correct!
